Carolina Market Exchange began with a simple idea: bring great finds and independent sellers together in the heart of Troy, North Carolina.
We’re building a 13,300-square-foot marketplace where antiques, vintage pieces, collectibles, clothing, home décor, and handmade goods can share one roof. Every vendor will bring something different, giving shoppers a reason to slow down, look around, and see what turns up.
As a locally owned, veteran-owned business, we want to create more than a place to buy and sell. We want to give vendors room to grow and help bring more people downtown. We’re preparing to open and look forward to welcoming our community soon.

The best finds have a way of bringing people together. That’s the idea behind Carolina Market Exchange, a new marketplace taking shape in downtown Troy.
David Talbert, Jenifer Talbert, and Josh Blayton are building a place where independent sellers can grow and shoppers can enjoy the thrill of discovering something they didn’t know they were looking for. David brings decades of project leadership and his perspective as a veteran. Jenifer is building connections with vendors and the community, while Josh is shaping the day-to-day experience that will bring the market to life.
Together, we’re preparing 13,300 square feet for antiques, vintage finds, collectibles, clothing, home décor, handmade goods, and the people who make each booth their own. We’re welcoming vendors as we get ready to open, and we look forward to sharing this space with Troy.
Our history
About three years ago, the idea for Carolina Market Exchange began taking shape during conversations between David and Josh. On trips to sporting clays shoots and while exploring other business ventures, we kept coming back to one idea: a market where independent sellers could build their businesses and shoppers could enjoy the hunt for a great find.
For a long time, it was a dream we talked about. Now, with Jenifer alongside us, we’re turning it into something real. We’re preparing a 13,300-square-foot marketplace in downtown Troy and welcoming vendors who want to be part of it.
We haven’t opened our doors yet, but the dream we started talking about three years ago is underway.
